Welcome to the website for Original Press, a podcast about underground music. Below is the first episode in an upcoming season on garage rock, focusing on the garage scene that came out of Tacoma, Washington. I focus on the history of the Fabulous Wailers, who influenced everyone from the Beatles to Jimi Hendrix, among many others. Even more notable is the fact that their version of “Louie, Louie,” is what the Kingsmen covered for their massive hit.
Take note — this won’t be up for long. Why? Well, I mispronounced Kent Morrill’s last name REPEATEDLY. Also, it will be broken up in two pieces for when I finally start releasing episodes on iTunes.
